Upon arrival at 16:30, I found the hotel unexpectedly closed due to a private event, which initially posed a challenge. A friendly group nearby indicated that the owner would arrive soon. A small sign in French led me to call for assistance, and within moments, the owner appeared to welcome me. Once settled, I was invited to the hotel's restaurant, where I experienced a fascinating array of French cuisine. The ambiance was cozy, yet it lacked the bustling energy of a typical dining venue. Though the portions were plentiful, they felt slightly excessive for one meal. Breakfast presented another dynamic; a continental offering with a few pieces of toast, sweet breads, and fruit juice left me wishing for heartier options. Le Sporting is an enriching destination for those who appreciate food and are flexible with their experiences. Just remember to make that call if the door is closed!
